Kyurem-White is the definition of "wasted potential". It has massive base stats, with Base 310 Attack eclipsing that of Mewtwo's. In its own right, it is a very powerful Dragon-type attacker, being 'only' as good as Rayquaza. The real thing that kills Kyurem-White's viability as an attacker is the existence of Kyurem-Black, who has the same monstrous base stats, but didn't get gimped with a sub-optimal Dragon-type moveset. While Kyurem-White is only as good as Rayquaza, Kyurem-Black solidly surpasses Rayquaza, having around 10% more DPS and around 30% more bulk. Thus, there's not much reason to use Kyurem Candies on Kyurem-White, when Kyurem-Black exists.
That said, Kyurem Candies are Kyurem Candies, and it's worth raiding Kyurem-White just to amass Kyurem Candies for Kyurem-Black.
The trio is quite easy; almost every Dragon-, Fighting-, Rock-, Fairy-, or Steel-type on this list, powered up to around Level 30, will be able to pull off the trio.
The duo is much harder, but it is still achievable within reason (unlike, say, the unboosted Zekrom duo).
Minimum viable levels assume Best Friends, no Weather, no Dodging.
Italics indicate a Legacy move.
Level 40 Machamp, Latios, and Outrage Salamence are alternatives that are too weak to consistently duo on their own, but can be slotted in if you have enough high-level Meteor Mash Metagross carrying.
Level 40 Rampardos is viable against Steel Wing/Ancient Power, but not Dragon Breath/Ancient Power.
Metagross is king against all Kyurem movesets; the more Metagross you have, the more you can afford to slot in one of the above 3 Pokemon without jeopardizing your chances of winning.
Note that Metagross must have Meteor Mash; without Meteor Mash, Metagross is non-viable for the duo, even at Level 40.
Level 40 Latios is slightly too weak to duo against Focus Blast by itself; if you have enough high-level Metagross to make up for the time difference, you can afford to slot in one or two Latios.
If you can consistently dodge Focus Blasts, Level 40 Dialga is duo-viable on its own. Level 40 Rampardos and Latios are slightly short of being duo-viable, but can be part of a winning composition if there are sufficient high-level Metagross to get you ahead of the timer.
With no Dodging, Level 40 Rampardos is duo-viable against Dragon Breath/Dragon Pulse, but it is slightly short of being duo-viable against Steel Wing/Dragon Pulse.
Dodging significantly improves the performance of Dragons against Dragon Pulse; Rayquaza, for example, will faint 42 times (21 times per trainer), which would require 3 relobbies per trainer. With dodging, Rayquaza will only faint 19 times (9 per trainer), which is only 1 relobby per trainer.
If you don't dodge Blizzard, Metagross is the only Pokemon that is capable of comfortably duoing; even Palkia's performance is shaky vs. Blizzard.
If you can consistently dodge all Blizzards, Level 40 Rayquaza, Garchomp, and Outrage Salamence are alternative picks that are slightly too weak to be duo-viable; with enough Metagross, you may be able to slot in those Dragons and still win against Blizzard.
Keep in mind that you must dodge Blizzards with the Dragons, or they will get oneshot and essentially be deadweight.
